Artist Statement

“Most Evenings, for years now, I go out for a long ride. Back into the rural roads, farms, creeks, fencerows of Tennessee and Kentucky.

“Horses and cattle, plain, working people, the magical part of my childhood. Only now I get to drive.

“Somehow, if I drink in enough of this beauty, this country, the light, I’ll be able to make a passage, a mark, translate how it feels, my awe. Childish wonder, in ordinary moments.”
