Jason Saunders

     Jason A. Saunders is a resident of Leiper's Fork, Tennessee. Born and raised in Nashville, Jason began his painting career as a student of Dawn E. Whitelaw, at David Lipscomb University in 1991. After college, Jason took his turn as a successful portrait painter.

     In 1994, Jason was fortunate to be accepted to study with a group of artists under the tutelage of world renowned, painter Everett Raymond Kinstler. There he began to understand the importance of his journey ahead. After five years and hundreds of paintings behind him, in 1998, Jason decided to give up portrait work and focus primarily on landscape painting.

    In search of a teacher with a similar direction, Jason searched out the best landscape painter to study with. His search found him in the studio of Scott L. Christensen. His experience studying with Scott led to a great friendship that continues today. Jason has since had many one-man shows in galleries and museums throughout the Southeast.
