Brenda Buffett

About the Artist

     A graduate of O'More College of Design with a degree in Fine Arts, Brenda Buffett's paintings are colorful acrylic abstracts. She seeks to capture fleeting emotions, movements, remembered feelings, atmospheric sensations we all experience. The use of bright color and use of thick paint is her trademark. Th paintings are bold, colorful,and full of movement, inspired by the Nashville music scene, the urban landscape, and the images of a growing city. Brenda Buffett was born in Nashville, Tennessee and is married to artist William Buffett. While earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at O'More College of Design, she won many design awards in competitions sponsored by design professional associations, including first place medals and a national IDEC award. After working for several local interior design firms, she formed Buffett Design Studio. Her design work included many private homes and model condo units in the Icon building, including a penthouse. She has won much acclaim and professional esteem as a designer. She had returned to painting after years of interior design work. Acrylic paint is her favorite medium, using broad strokes and thick paint. She has painting at galleries in Nashville and has had a show with her husband, artist William Buffett.
